How many people can stay?
We have 40 beds in three houses: La Lac has 5 double rooms, 2 triple rooms and an attic for 6; La Râu has 5 double rooms; La Pini has 2 double rooms and a room for four.
Do the rooms have their own bathroom?
Yes. Every room, in all three houses, has its own bathroom.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 11:00.
Can I book just one night at the weekend?
At weekends we usually take bookings of at least two nights, but a single night can be discussed, depending on availability.
How do I book?
Send a request from the website or message us on WhatsApp with your dates, the house and how many of you there are. The request is not a booking yet: the host calls you and confirms it, depending on availability.
Is there a hot tub?
Yes, a wooden hot tub, on request, at an extra charge. Let us know when you book.
Can we rent the whole place?
Yes. For groups, team building, coming-of-age parties (with the parents) or private parties you can rent the whole place. Loud music and late parties are possible only when the whole place is rented.
Is there parking?
Yes, in the yard, under video surveillance.
The place
Where is Pensiunea LA LAC?
In Păltineni, in the town of Nehoiu, Buzău County, in the Buzău Valley, on the bank of the Buzău River and close to Lake Siriu. We are 300 metres off the DN10, the Buzău–Brașov road.
What is there in the grounds?
A water-lily pond with an island gazebo for about 40 people, with grill, hob and sink, 15,000 m² of forest and meadow, a playground with trampolines, swings and hammocks, football goals and a way down to the Buzău River, where we light the campfire.
Do you host groups, team building and children’s camps?
Yes. We host teams of colleagues for team building and camps with children of all ages, and for the older ones we also run rafting camps.
Can we go rafting near the guesthouse?
Yes, right from the yard: the Rafting Club Nehoiu (Buzău Adventure) base is here. The rafting run on the Buzău River is 14.5 km, from Nehoiașu to Valea Lupului; on Lake Siriu there are kayak and stand-up paddle outings.
What is there to see nearby?
Lake Siriu and its dam, the Casoca waterfall, the Vultures’ Lake, the rock churches of the Buzău Mountains and the Living Fire. The Surroundings page lists them all.
